I am an Australian citizen
Probably not news worthy for most of you, but I am pretty damn proud that as of 2 PM yesterday arvo, I am a citizen of Australia. I would like to thank his majesty Clover Moore for his participation in a nice ceremony at Town Hall in Sydney.
My first act as an Australian, as is I assume is proper protocol, was to organise some drinks with friends last night and am paying for it today. :sick:
My next act will be to get rid of that damn national anthem. Terrible!
After that, I would like to bring down the NSW Government and install a benevolent dictator who will probably waste as much money as the labor government, but actually get something done even if it is the wrong thing to do.
After that, I don’t know, probably work on my accent and see if it gets me anywhere with the ladies when I go back to the midwest for visits. Of course, I think it is my face that is the problem where no accent regardless of its charm could compensate, so it may not be worth the effort.
