Federal Government has a wank over R18+ decision
The Federal Government is “delighted” that it has finally achieved consensus with all Australian states and territories to introduce an R18+ games classification.
Classification ministers from all jurisdictions except New South Wales agreed last month to support an adults-only games rating, and NSW finally announced yesterday that its cabinet would also support the reform.
Minister for Home Affairs Brendan O’Connor says he was very pleased that ministers have been able to achieve agreement on ” what is a complex matter in classification policy”.
“I am delighted that NSW has decided to support what is not just a practical public policy, but a very popular policy,” Mr O’Connor says.
