A former high-flying Microsoft UK employee caught up in a $15 million court battle says the company has a culture of “excessive drunkenness” and that “outrageous misbehaviour were rife”, British media reports say.
Simon Negus, 50, is suing Microsoft for about £10 million ($15 million) in lost earnings, wrongful dismissal and harassment, London’s Daily Telegraph reported overnight.
Microsoft had sued Mr Negus – who was hired to eventually become the next UK general manager – to demand he return part of a £225,000 “golden hello” bonus after he was sacked following allegations he kissed a colleague at a company party, the newspaper reported.
