Well duh

The death of a newborn boy while being carried in a baby sling has prompted the consumer watchdog to consider mandatory standards.

The two-day-old South Australian boy was being carried in a cloth sling worn under his mother’s clothing when she noticed he was cold and not breathing.

Although an autopsy did not determine the cause of death, the baby sling was considered a risk factor.

Well of course slings are dangerous for babies. They are just not built for impacts against hard surfaces. You think with everyone being upset about baby shaking they’d be more aware of devices used to hurl babies. I mean who buys these anyway? “Hey hun, I’m going to sling Jr against the garage wall for a bit”.
