I've been taking the Old Road quite a bit lately after taking a bit of a break from riding. The last few weeks were the first time in AGES, and it leaves me with one question.

WHAT IS WITH ALL THE CYCLISTS???

They aren't normal cyclists that sit on the side of the road either, they insist on taking up the entire lane. Fortunately ever time I've come across them has been while I've been slowed down by a car or on a straight, but I've seen them going in the opposite direction two me, 2-3 abreast in the middle of the lane, on a tight bend. Are they too thick to realise that cars take this road and take it faster than them. Are they too thick to realise the speeds that motorbikes take this road VERY regularly? If a bike did come up behind them, they'd see them mid-corner with how slowly they go and either run right into them or crash straight off the road behind them. It's rediculous!

This is why the old road is better when it's dark :)

at least it gives us a good excuse to skittle some cyclists :P

Why's my bonnet matt black? It's easier to clean off all the cyclist!

Having the right to be there is no guarantee that you won't get hit anyway...that kind of logic only works if everyone is obeying road rules and speed limits which we all know doesn't happen very often on the old road.

true, but i'm sure if thingy plows into 'em he'll be somewhat liable, assuming the cyclist wasn't doing anything illegal at the time
