I used to live in a one way street (well legally anyway - some drivers ignored it) and I can park on the right like a master.

Damn straight. The more realistic effort is huge amounts of traffic behind you. You've got to let the guy out of the park before you get in, then wait for the traffic behind to pass over the double lines missing the pedestrians standing in the middle of the road etc...
