Yo geekazoid's,

Im a newbie to the site........

Yep it did hurt quite a bit.

The bike should be back up and running by September, having some work done to the engine while I'm at it so should be more fun.

It is a sportsbike. CBR600.

I'll give you a shout when I'm back in action.

Nice R6, altough it looks like it could get out more :p

Yea, go riding nearly every weekend, I've been sick the past couple of weeks so missed out on a few but always keen. Sign up on the forum, heaps of people on there, the odd gathering and social event. We do the MotoGP at cheers in Vic Park which is always fun, 2 weeks till the next one, details on the forum.

That's a pretty nice specimen of CBR250RR too, I had one before the R1, awesome little bike. I took one for a ride the other week out in the country, swapped bikes with a mate, fuck they are alot of fun, I had it off the clock, even took my mate on the R1 and came close to taking a VTR through a few corners.

hehe yea still got some "chicken strips" on the rear tire you could say lol......i ride it every day to work (I work in the city and at work as I type this :D) and back but dosn't get out in the country or just for a "casual" ride that often as I don't have any friends that have bikes :-(..........I go for a lonesome ride sometimes inland but kinda gets boring by urself so hoping this is a start to getting in the grove with some pplz like you etc.

The social event at cheers at Vic park sounds kinda kool.....is that during the day on a sunday or something?....im always up late at home watching it at like 1:00 in da morning or whatever when it comes on channel 10.

Yea the CBR250RR did me very well for my first year of riding. I don't have it anymore now though seen I got the R6, I did the old trade in of course. It is & was awesome to ride you could ring it's neck!! all the time and have fun.......the R6 or the R1 for that matter u gotta be so much more careful about your throttle compared to the 250 sucker.

is your screen name the same on that psb.com?

Yea, you really need some of the country road goodness to get rid of those strips. I had mine around Barbagello the other week at the BladeBlast so they got nice and scrubbed.

Yea, Cheers is top night, sundays, starts ~5 for the 125's, GP is usually at 8ish (Live on Foxtel). Cheap drinks and they usually put on some food for us, good place to meet everyone, on a good week there is 50-80+.

Yea, gota watch that throttle, esp. on the 1, loves going skywards...and who am I to tell it no. The last (03) R6 I rode was alot less twitchy (but a little more exciting) that my R1, its a well known characterisic they have, especially the front wheel coming up powering out of corners.

I'm Nath on PSB, just say hi to everyone and you'll get a good response, very friendly bunch, Send us a PM when you get sorted.

I been on a few country run's to too-jay and back. The dude I work with has brothers that live out there and his dad runs's a tire shop so gone out their and said hi a couple of times. Did the run twice on the CBR250 and have to say was a little "slow" trying to overtake some cars lol.........done it once since I had the R6 and first time I ripped it i was like whoaaaaaaa this a lil easier.

The cheers meet up at vic park sounds great hope I can maybe come to the next one.

Yea those R1's I hear just lift to the heven's without trying much on just pure throttle, and damm straight who are you to tell it no :D . To me the R6 is still insane cause I don't know any different never ridden anything bigger (other than a CB 1300 i learnt on for my R class but obviously didn't give it the boot). Going from the 250 to the 600 is just the joyest thing I still enjoy everytime I get on it.

Anyway ill go jump on psb right now and setup an account and catch ya over there I guess.

I ride a '93 Suzuki RF600 but it's in bits on my garage floor at the moment. Gudgeon pin on the 3rd piston either broke or came loose so the piston was hitting the valves.

Really really suffering withdrawals.

Best drug in the world is riding high speeds in between cars up the motorway. :D

NZ roads are pretty sweet for riding as well. Can't use top end much but throwing your ride through the twisties is more fun anyway.
