Button has gone to WilliamsF1. I was actually really suprised by this move. I obviously didn't realise the extent of the ongoing relationship between Jenson and Frank. Haven't heard any reaction from BAR and Dennis. Although knowing 'f1-speak' all we will hear through the press is a lot of 'we wish him well in his future endeavours' etc add nauseum.

More move info (http://www.f1-live.com)

Christiano DaMatta has been given the boot from Toyota. However will be kept on staff throughout '04 and may be called on for promotion work with Panasonic and Toyota.

He'll probably end up back in Cart, he has genuine speed and is a nice lad.

hey whatsa da matta (http://f1.racing-live.com/en/index.html)

Webber news? Who gives a toss!

It sure does, with David Coulthard looking odds on favourite to go to Jaguar.

Ferrari will still own everyone.

Michael Schumacher is a fukin legend, one of the best drivers in F1, ever.

BAR said they are going to take legal action because they get first option on his services.

When I find the article I'll post a link to it.

I for one welcome button to williams. Then the poms will have no excuse for when webber kicks there arse by saying he has a better car.

It'll be good racing between the 2 of them.

I reckon this will be great. I like both Button and Webber, and even though i'm not a fan of the Williams team I'll be cheering them on. Certainly better than cheering on my (ex) beloved Jordan team.....................

But poor DaMatta, i thought he was doing a decent job, and he seems like a decent bloke. He must be getting paid a shitload to do "promotional work". I'd be out of there quickly if i'd just been fired.

I was hoping for JV in the Williams seat but this is even better. Webber vs Button. Australia vs England. I hope this is the beginning of a heated rivalry.

Can't wait - Finally a team that I'll support and buy gear for! (Says he with too much Jordan gear...)

The legal action is surely going to be an act over money.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!

Webber will never be world champion. There is little point in watching his career. Jensen will wipe the floor with him.

These are my opinions based on my absolute contempt for Webber, not a statistics based statement.

Button doesnt seem to share your view.

Button admits he fears Webber (http://www.theadvertiser.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5936,10382511%255E23770,00.html)

Really like to see Webber and Button do well
the unfortunate thing with williams ( in particluar Frank Williams ) is that he has more prefernance for a constructors championship rather than a drivers championship,
Ferrari and Mclaren , traditionally have had high importance on the drivers championship
