Buckyballs banned in NSW, rest of Australia soon to follow

THE state government has placed an interim ban on a range of novelty products that contain small magnets.

The products sold under names such as BuckyBalls, Neocubes and Neodymium Sphere Magnets contain small high-powered magnets about 5mm in diameter.

If more than one is swallowed by a child they can attract to each other and perforate the intestine, requiring emergency surgery.

Boo! This is why parents should be licensed to have kids.
