  • 'A Game of Thrones' gets the green light

    It's official: HBO has given a green light to a 10-episode series based on George R.R. Martin's fantasy series Game of Thrones and released the first image from the show, which you can view below. Production begins in June; no premiere date was announced.

    Cast members include Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, a woman of royal blood, Peter Dinklage as Cersei's brother Tyrion, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Cersei's twin, Jaime, Sean Bean as aristocrat Ned Stark, Jennifer Ehle as his wife, Catelyn Stark, and Mark Addy as King Robert.

      I have to agree actually. Stop watching the fucking football, putting together anthologies and wild card books and travelling to the filming of this show / conventions and WRITE THE FUCKING BOOK.

      Actually he is coming to Aus Con later this year, time to go to Melb and tell him myself.

      He actually seems to be making some progress in the last few weeks (after being in a holding pattern for 2 years.)

      Of course that was followed by a mention of how long it's getting and the possibility of splitting...
