  • Neighbours actor tries to kill herself on set

    An extra on soap opera Neighbours slashed her wrist in front of horrified cast members.

    The troubled woman cut herself with a glass from fictional hangout Charlie's Bar.

    She smashed several props, causing filming to be cancelled and the astonished cast and crew to be rushed off set late yesterday.

    Police were called and the unnamed actress, a regular extra on the show for the past 12 years, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

    Executive producer Susan Bower said crew noticed the woman starting to behave strangely on the Ramsay Street set in Melbourne.
    I can understand. 12 years of working on the show? Shit, it takes just one viewing of this shit show before I start wanting to kill myself too.

      I'd watch for that.

      Of course, now they'll work a suicide into the script, because it'll be shocking and dramatic and so they'll get a ratings boost from people stupid enough to think that it's the actual suicide attempt that will be shown.

      I'd contemplate suicide if all I could jag as an acting gig for 12 years was as an extra in neighbours.

      I work on the show and she was CRAZY...just snapped but was not trying to kill herself. The only good thing is that we got the afternoon off on a friday for a change

      Would you kindly work on a way of destroying the show and everybody involved? Or maybe include some kind of hypnotic signal in the broadcast that jumpstarts the higher brain functions of the viewers? Which would hopefully achieve more good than simply destroying one show.
