I should clarify my remark. All these fucking WW games are just this movie over and over.

oh don't forget the scene at the beginning of "Enemy at the Gates" that they also rip off repeatedly... See we DO have variety!

I wonder how long it'll be before we have a FPS version of "The Pacific"?

      The one in the fountain???
I know that was in world at war, and I was sure I had played that in a medal of honor game or something, is that right???

On the pacific, anyone ever play the medal of honor pacific assault? made me think of it, and I remember it it's day thinking it had awesome graphics but fairly average game play. Looked it up online, wow it's 6 years old and doesn't look too great. It's funny how your memory tends to just remember the quality of computer grame graphics in the context of the time, but not the actual quality.

They need a pacific ww2 game using the crysis engine...

The fountain scene, yes - I can't remember which one it was but one of the big FPS titles had their Russian campaign start at this section . It was pretty much a ripoff of the film, down to the masking gunfire with tank fire in the background so that he could snipe people without being detected… I’ve actually seen that taken in a few of them, I think even COD 5 had this aspect.

It’s not a bad thing to rip off, I found the notion quite original and realistic – I think it may have been based on someone’s real account of war in the Russian theatre, the siege of Leningrad is still one of the most amazing things in history in terms of working with so little yet surviving, it’s a shame these stores weren’t really know all that well in the West until after the fall of the Iron Curtain.
