Flight Attendants Get Galaxy Notes; Pilots get iPads.

American Airlines has also been making the move to digital by giving their pilots iPads instead of paper heavy manuals.
The flights attendants will use the smartphone-tablet Notes device to record meal and beverage preferences, and to access some customer information — such as a person’s name, seat number and whether he or she needs special assistance.
The information would be updated over Wi-Fi when the wireless networking technology is added to each aircraft, American said. American didn’t comment on how or whether attendants will use Notes as phones to make voice calls.

Anyone else see the fails in this ? Firstly I’m not keen on any hackable networks when Im flying above the earth in a giant tin-can, and secondly what happens when they ask to switch off all electronic devices !? So much for RTFM for the pilots …
