It is the Exchange Hotel in Kalgoorlie W.A.
The building to the left is the Kalgoorlie newspaper building, and further up is The Federal,(known as the feddie)
Your snap is taken from the footpath in front of the chemist shop where I purchased my "No Doze" from while on night shift.
close enough Jacko?:)
edit: I made an error.

i don't have a picture of it yet i am still looking for it but my favorite was the sail and anchor in freemantel or i can't think of the other one but it was a classy joint with a balcony and stuff down the street in freemantle i visited there in Jan and i love drinking the brew and looking at those fine ass OZ chicks. with the exception of the guy who i thought was a girl wearing a fishnet dress i must of had my beer goggles on real good that day good think i have great shipmates to help me out of those unlucky situations

Drinks weren't too badly priced at that place, but that was so long ago for me. We used to hang around and either hitch home or walk, or if we were lucky we found someone with a tent or a panel van. Vomitting there wasn't one of my things, used to do that at home:(
When I go to the GC now, the only place I really go is the Tavern across the road from my parents old place at currumbin. Haven't been there for 2 and a half years though. The first time I walked into the place I put $10 in the poker machines and walked out $100 richer after drinks.

The name won't come into effect until you "christen" the pub with with some sort of drink/blood/urine/vomit spilled on the carpet/tiles/lino/pavement.
I'm just makin the rules up as I go along now. :p

best pub in australia, the Great Southern Hotel in Berry NSW. Has life saving boats on the roof, airline seats in the pool room, you rest your beer on DMV barrier sign and you sit on saddles at the bar. Fucking great! Anyone got a photo?

Jacko:
My guess is The Hotel Terminus (I THINK) on Melbourne St, South Brisbane/West End - its the one under the railway bridge opposite the entrance to the busway etc etc
If its not the Terminus then I have no idea of the name, but I'm sure its that one :)

I knew it was the Ettomogah Pub, but I didn't know about the one on VIC so the southern thing confused me!!

I bump a thread that is 3 months old and you all fuck off on tangents!;)
To add insult to injury someone asks to identify the most identifiable pub in Australia and it still takes awhile.
I despair.

Gundagai? For fucks sake, the Ettamogah pub is in Ettamogah, next to the Ettamogah bird Sanctuary, about 10kms from Albury and about 200kms from Gundagai.

When i took my girlfriend over new years to the Ettamogah Pub in Ettamaogah, next to the Ettamogah Bird Sanctuary, 10kms from Albury she said "oh, there's one of these in Queensland". I was very angry, they're obviously cashing in on the name, why don't they write a cartoon strip called "The Sunshine Coast Pub" then build a theme pub based on it. No imagination in this country.
/end pointless rant

If the advertising gurus have their way the whole country will become a theme park.
The theme will be determined by the person with the most money.
We need large Bombs to prevent this.

I couldn't imagine living on the Gold Coast, it's just like a big theme park, all clean and neoney, especially if you're a killer whale and you live in seaworld
