Yeah ok, I'm sorry about the title, it doesn't give you much of a clue.
Skip the first three paragraphs if you want:
I'm not right keen on the police, I suppose some of 'em are ok, I just get a bit of an impression that they are mindless, can't think for themselves, automatons, serving an exploitative system that feeds of the poor and the weak. Phew, well at least I've got that out of the way.
Anyway my girlfriend used to work with this lass at another shop and this cop had the hots for her and they started going out and I think they're even engaged. Now, I never got to meet him to talk to (I've seen him once) and I wasn't right bothered about it because being a dope smoker like quite a few of her friends we were never introduced.
Anyway the other week one of the mates wanted to go out for a few beers, I hadn't been for ages, so I agreed. We had a steady night, just me and him, kept on the piss weak lager most of the night and went home via the curry shop at 1pm.
Anyway, next day my girlfriend goes to work and decides to phone her mate up in the same chain of shops, next town. She should have been working, but the assistant filling in for her informed her that she had been attacked coming out of a local restaurant. She'd gone up town on the same night as I, with her policeman boyfriend and someone had started hassling them as they came out of the restaurant.
Now I'm not sure about exact details because this story is already third hand by the time I get it. The cop (off duty obviously) says to this guy, something along the lines of "C'mon mate leave it out, I'm just out for a quiet time with my girlfriend."
This guy flies into a rage and starts bashing his head against the wall, I assume there was some more violence before that happened but it's how I've heard it. This cops a big guy BTW. Anyway the fight finishes with the cop getting his nose bit off by the other bloke. His girlfriend tries to stop it and she gets beat up by some women the guy was with. They both end up with concussion and I've just heard today that his nose didn't take, when they tried to sew it back on. How much is missing I don't know. They say they'll try to recreate it with some of his ear.
I can understand people getting into a fight when they're pissed. What I can't understand is: how much of a freak do you need to be to bite someone's nose off? I hear they caught the guy that did it and hopefully they'll lock him up for a long time.
Thank fuck I didn't bump into 'em and end up getting the shit kicked out of me too.
