View Full Version : Take California

after spending four plus years of my life in the shithole we call california i have learned to loath it in ways that only a few can fully appreciate...

i hate it's vapid suv nimby asshat residnets the clog the interstates and comlain about high insurance rates and the smog. even worse are their hedonistic self centered offspring that drive fucked up riceburners of super jacked up pickup trucks and who know nothing about the world but expect it to give them everything.

i hate the culture-destroying suburbs that have devoured hundreds of thousands of acres of the most beautiful land in the world as all these asshole "entitled" to a 40,000 foot home for less than $100K has fueld this cancerous sprawl.

i hate the 70s throwback clothes everyone - particularly the grossly obese - wear thinking it's gonna look so much cooler now twenty-five years later because it's "ironic." i hate the way everyone stuffs their faces with nasty fast food then jumps on the latest fad diet "because they don't know how they gained all that weight."

i hate all the liberal hippie assholes who wail and moan about efforts to do simply things that would possibly help the overall population of this misbegotten state.

i hate the way that all the employers know they have a glut of workers with the economic downturn so they treat everyone like crap and throw them on the street when they find someone cheaper.

i hate the white trash methamphetamine cooking drug addicts that have singlehandedly destroyed a whole generation with this junk and who then moan about the legal system and how no-one wants to help them.

i fucking hate california.

I agree with you on all counts. Although I hope your 40,000 square foot house for less than 100K was a hyperbole.....because that's unpossible.

Kleph for governor!

Guess you never visited Lassen National Park or fished at Hat Creek. Never went for a boat ride during the Summer at Shasta Lake only to return in the winter to Ski the slopes. Or sail on Whiskeytown enjoying the national beauty. Never wached a sunset in the mountains to see stars so close you can touch them. Every area has posers its up to the residents to look beyond others wrongdoings and see the natural beauty all around. Heck even San Diego has marvelous beaches to San Luis Obispo were sands are so soft you could just sleep. All the way to Humboldt's pebble beach.

Hope you like your area now since very few who leave are missed.:D

I lived in California for 8 years.

My father & half sisters still live there.

There are many good things about California. And many bad.
My father bitches about taxes, water, and many of the things Kleph is one about. Many of the same things I bitch about in Georgia too.

*wonders if that peep show trailer is in California!"

there is lotsa beautiful scenery but you can't see it for the assholes. there are the rich shitheads that buy up every decent beachfront lot and then close off the beach for private use even though by state law all beaches are public. then there is getting anywhere behind all the suv's, winebegos and happy crap that jams the roadways, killing any nice stretch of view and making it impossible to get anywhere decent. and then, when you do get to the nice verdant area and want to take in the view a homeless meth addict pops out of the bush to the left which he lives under.

of course you can always go to the national forests. well, the ones that haven't burned down, or are covered in smog or they even let you in because of staff cuts. when you are there you can check out all the interesting places where the state's renowned child murderers and serial killers have dumped their victim's bodies over the past half century.

Hope you like your area now since very few who leave are missed.:D

that's funny, when i've visited arizona and texas most of the locals are bitching about all the asshole californians who have fled the state in the past three years and are now being dikcheads afield. but these states put up with it given the incredible exodus of businesses that have fled the state due to the crap-ass economy, shitty taxes and widespread governmental mismanagement.

That's horrible. It's like the worst parts of everything that's wrong about the early 21st century have been distilled and poured into what I hear used to be an excellent state. Is it all like this, or just the major urban areas?

kleph

laws no. you can go to the beautiful deserts where you have miles of uninterupted beauty... except for the meth labs, discarded automobiles and the occasional ramshakle house where some jesus freak has locked his family after he killed his oldest child by making him eat sheetrock.

but once you get past that you can find the wonderful waterways of the colorado river where testosterone freaks roar by in boats loud enough to drown out a concord and thousands gather on weekends to get drunk and fuck anybody who happens to fall unconsious.

and there are the verdant forests which are becoming as dangerous as the deserts from drug dealers growing marijuana since there are no more rangers patroling the place due to cutbacks. but that's ok. after years of short sighted zero-burn policies and a parasitic blight all the trees are dying anyway and will probably burn down in a torrential fire within 48 months.

Parts of what Kleph have said is true. There are assholes running about and comment about a meth adicts popping up out of nowhere has happend also. Yet all states have there fair share of asses. Hell some states have there fair share of hillbillies and asses.

But in whole California is a beautiful state. Now our economy has hit the shitter and people are fleeing in droves. But then the more that leave the less congestion we will have. I still love California born and raised in this place. I find the location I am in *by San Francisco* to be very mellow. But then to each his own.

Now I by no means would stay in California if I found a job that paid more outside the state but still would miss it...

Now dance bannna dance....

that you had to use that crap ass bananna to make your point only serves to make mine even more.

sure the san francisco area is great, if you like paying $7 for cigarettes and $1,500 a month for a one bedroom apartment so small you have to go out in the hallway to change your mind.

Gee, kleph, you're really making me want to go back to CA :p

Is the economy really *that* bad that people are leaving?

 No need to make fun of the poor bannana. BecauseThe bannana still likes you kleph. Yes he does..

...and yes the Bay Area is a tad expensive but there are outskirts that are not as bad. Still expensive but hey we are not forced to live in the Bay.

you can take that banana and shove . . . *gah!* it was mildly humorous the first thousand times. now it is the zgeek equivelant of "NOT!"

and by outskirts of san francisco i take it you mean sacramento - a picturesque villa if there ever was one.

yes, angel_b, it is that bad. the economy is $38 billion (yes. billion. as in a one followed by nine zeros) in the hole. the good news is the laconic assholes that live there finally got pissed off enough to try and boot the shithead responsible out of office. the bad news is that they are most likely going to elect an action movie actor with no political experience, no stated plan to change things and who can't even speak coherently in public (and not because of his irritating accent).

Eghad....Fuck Sacramento that place is around 110 in the summer. I lived in Redding where it was 118 at times and that was bad enough. Nope talking about Fremont, Brentwood *though it is shockingly growing*Danville, San Ramone. But all the places are skyrocketing.

Last point: vote no on arnold..... Love his movies but govenor...hell no

Yep, we heard about the recall (right word?) down here and the Terminator and Gary Coleman et al running for office - caused a great deal of mirth, I must tell you. :D

I'm most concerned, though, that if and when we go back to the States, I'm not going to be able to get a job. I've got a fairly decent job down here - maybe it's a case of a bird in the hand?

the former booming areas - particularly those with the IT industry - continue to lag (http://sanjose.bizjournals.com/sanjose/stories/2003/08/25/daily32.html) or, possibly, worse (http://www.svbizink.com/headlines/article.asp?aid=4855&iid=313) and show little sign of improvement. folks are running (http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2003-08-25-golden-state-exodus_x.htm) for the state's borders.

and that's just what i could find on a quick dial up search. to get an astoundingly gory day-by-day view of this train-wreck of a state check out the Rough & Tumble (http://www.rtumble.com) each morning. its's guarunteed to make the view from the antipodes that much sweeter.

Oye, vey!

Kleph!

They already think us Americans are shit! Not teh Shit either!

Yes, we here have Meth labs pop up next to elementary schools.
We too have crack ho's and homeless, but we have many good things too.

If I didn't know better, I'd say you've been hanging with AKG!
If I could so eloquently give you a pro argument I would. But I am not so eloquent, and I'm lazy.

Just as well it's going to break off the mainland at some stage soon. Can't have that filth infecting the rest of the states.

My mother has been wishing and praying for that to happen since 1973!

My father lives 1.3 miles from the San Andres fault line.

Think of all the pirated treasure to be gained after California's climatic plunge to the depths of the ocean. (and scientists say it's DEEP) Not to mention the NEW beachfront property created at California's demise!

Muuuahahahahaha!

dozer you are absolutely correct. Every place has negative items. Its up to you to look at the good. Hell if you focus on the negative all the time then life would be miserable. Take Tropical Islands. Sun all the time, Bixinis the works. All except the occasional tropical storm that lifts your hut and your body over the ocean and drops you in it.

I think poor kleph must have been poked in the ass by some meth guy in california and now he is upset about it.

Remember your only gay if you are on bottom.
