A guy i used to work with is in a Band, we were talking about the move to Digital music and what we thought of it.

We both agreed while Digital has its advantages we both preferred Vinyl.

I don't know about you but i don't mind the crackling and the back ground distortion, it makes me feel like i am actually at a gig as apposed to listening it in some sound proof booth.

I prefer to hear the mistake in the recording as apposed to the clinical recordings we are getting these days.

Some music just has to be listened to on vinyl - it's the only way to get that old-skool* sound.

* Forgive me for using such a fooli-sik term but it is just the way it is :D

Snowball if you love the sound of vinyl so much does that mean you're buying a turntable? :p

I wouldn't mind buying a turn table.... :) I have a few albums and i would like to build on the collection. Collectors Corner in Melbourne is great for 2nd hand albums.

I think the sound of music on vinyl is definately wicked. It's more of a style choice than anything else.

Also there's nothing wrong with putting your music on vinyl and then digitising that...

i agree to the most part, but it really does depend on the music.
