After 14 years in the jungle, junglebunny is moving to Sydney in Australia. Despite never having been there before he feels it is safe enough to drag the billy lids along with him and hopes to meet fellow geeks there in order to get drunk with them.

Your shout. :D

junglebunny, I hope you're not moving to Western Sydney, unless you have no real need for a social life. :grr:

I've got some visa stuff that people are working on but expect to start work there in November. Don't know where to stay - a friend has suggested Concord (thought it was a plane) or homebush.

I used to live in concord, its shit. Everything closes at 8, and theres not much to do. Homebush has nothing.
I reccommend living near the city. Somewhere around Surry Hills or Redfern. Newtown / erskinville / enmore/ stanmore (Inner west) is also good as the rents a bit cheaper cause of the planes.

I suppose if a new immigrant can live in some of the deepest, darkest shitholes in Sydney and still not want to get the fuck out again, they truly love the city.

Hopefully he can hang on to his possessions for more than a week, too.

Ok I should be in Sydney in 2-3 weeks. I will bring one wife and 3 kids - the rest must stay behind as they are old enough to look after themselves. I'd like to have a few drinks there. In fact I'd like to have a few drinks anywhere. I also have to find a place to live where I can set up my own bar (zbar?). It's cheaper and gets away from all the silly laws they have these days. I'm used to drinking at the BEC here where one of the rules is: firearms ok, shooting other patrons not ok. shooting ceiling ok.

I've had 5 wives but only one at a time. Just seems that, except for the first time, every time I split up I get the kids.
Another BEC Bar rule: no shagging the staff unless they want to.

Or being gay!

Something is not right here at all.

I saw the title of this thread and thought it would be about breakdancing.
