However, if it's only the second time ever you've seen this person (and the previous time they were blind drunk) the odds are rather stacked against you for it. Ha, my current gf and I started going out within 2 weeks of me ending a 5 year relationship and 2 months of her ending a 7 year (on & off again).

I agree. It's simply a matter of will power sometimes and there is an element of wanting to please someone and show them physically how much they mean to you.

Being attracted to someone is very primal and i think it's hard to control. I have real self control issues in this area. ;)

Not all chicks that are enthusiastic, are like that. I dunno, maybe it's just me, maybe I have a misplaced sense of myself, but I'm entusiastic, and can be full-on, but I think it is more because I feel balanced with myself at the moment, and have a strong sense of who I am, what I want, and where I am heading. Also being an only child helps I guess .. so I am always had to be self-sufficient and self-motivating.

I'm not hung up about the whole sex thing - I don't sleep with every guy I meet, I'm actually really picky...but dammit, if I click with someone & timing is good why the hell not? It depends on the guys, like my problem is i am some what confident but when girls are a bit full on I become intimidated. Am I the only woman here that doesn't believe in monogomy?

Definately not, but there's a time and a place. I'm not interested in relationships that are anything other than monogomous, but my ex-gf 's friends definately never played that way in their relationships...

For me it's very important to find someone that can not only be my girl, but my best friend. That connection is hard to find, although I seem to be fairly lucky.

When I broke up with my ex I was planning on spending some time single, play the feild that sort of thing. Then 2 weeks later something happens with this girl that I had known for 3 months or so. I was always attracted to her but hey, never saw that coming!

The context was that btrfly said if a female was fast, she was a slut, if a male was fast, he was a stud. My comment was that while a guy who sleeps around may be considered a stud by his friends, any girl that may interest him in the future could be wary and turned off by his studly reputation.

Women are typically attracted to the bad guy, so therefore wouldnt that make the aforementioned stud more desirable? but meh, we are arguing a moot point
