What was the best evil dude, or boss monster from a video or computer game?

I would have to go with Goro from the old Mortal Kombat.

Couldn't categorically give a 'best' one, ones that spring to mind are ED-209 from Robocop, 'Bad Dudes' (DragonNinja) and the end of level bosses in 'Double Dragon'.

Jon Irenicus in BG2...... he was great because I FUCKING HATED
HIM! I wanted to swat that smarmy son of a bitch from the
opening sequence of the game when he had me in prison and
kept saying,"I FUCKIN OWNZ j00!" to the very last scene when
we went toe to toe.

The immense satisfaction I got from bitchslapping his ass and
sending him to hell was an indication of how great a villain he
was.... and watching him get slammed into the fiery abyss by
those little demons made me scream,"WHO'S THE DADDY NOW
YOU SMARMY SON OF A BITCH! WHO'S THE DADDY NOW!"

Next to that I don't know..... the giant potato monster in the
original Tomb Raider was pretty damn cool.

Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts he is so fucking hard to beat, he has shit loads of health, he has a teleporting attacks and has an attack that can lower your health to 1

I agree with the Sephiroth choice.....in FF7 I always wanted to play as him...he had to be one of the most bad ass villains of all time.....also that music in the background of the boss fight was intense......awesome game altogether, Square rocks at creating villains. Here's a pic of this guy...

The alien queen in Duke Nukem: Atomic Edition. She kept spawning those brown aliens that shrink you. It was a difficult level considering it was underwater and you had those brown dudes after you as well.

Speaking of doom 2, I liked the spider demon a lot more than the stupid walking bull-monster. Arch vile was cool too, but my favourite in the doom series would have to be the mancubus.

RPG wise, I liked the evil versions of the party members in Ultima 7 part 2. They had an awesome hide-out, and they all looked really mean and crazy, like they'd watch an old lady fall in a puddle of water, then kick her and steal her purse.

Kefka from Final Fantasy 6 is my fave.

At the start of the game he is the bad guy side kick who you don't think will be in the final battle, but then you learn that he is quite insane and he kills the emperor. He then causes havoc to the world, and rips it apart. Now thats a bad guy.
As far as characterisation for bad guys goes, I can't really think of any better.
He was hard to kill too, with his spell that would put you to 1 hp.

Ill give my shout out to a little known boss chick called Mayura from Rudra no Hihou. Ive marched through every RPG ive played with little or no problems till I faced her. Basically, Mayura = pwnage. 16 tries it doth take me to defeat her. All this and boobies too. Props to her.

Never have i seen in gaming a better "end guy". He was fukn scary. Powerful and big.

My favourite non boss is also from doom2. the Mancubus, basically because of the sound he makes.

Another great boss was Metal Gear Rex from The Metal gear games.... Sweet boss to fight, hard but always had a weak spot so not impossible!.
