I finished my last uni exam today and i was in the city and i walked into a computer show and wa gonna buy a game, and like max payne 2 was $98, thats a bit excessive, Jedi Knight: Outcast was $88, i dunno i found these prices a bit much, and yeah I don't want to go piracy option. But I've never payed more that 80 max fo a computer game, so can anyone suggest good cheap places in melbourne. It has been a while since i purchased a game, like last year cause i've had no time to play them, now i got months free with no uni. So yeah?

Funnily enough, places like Kmart and Target can be cheaper than places like Harvey Norman or EB.

If you have a friend that works at a colesmyer owned store they should be able to get another 5% off the purchase price. Not much, but every little saving helps :D

The Swap Meet (http://www.comtrader.com.au/swap/dates.php3) is a good place to get good cheap(er) new games. There's also a good place sorta near Southland. If you go south on the roundabout on Lower Dandenong road, theres this shop that many people don't know about. Most games would be around 5-10 buck cheaper. Sorry I don't have a buisness card on hand so I dont know the exact address.

Buy yeah, most new games are around $90 now.

That place hasn't been around for ages.
It's a Dirt Bike shop now from memory.

Find out when the next swap meet you can attend is and go.
At swap meets even new releases are generally about $80
I got Max Payne 2 a while ago for $80.
I also tried to find a store where I could get games at these prices but was unable to do this.
Another alternative is if enough of us want a particular game I could always order 10+ copies and should be able to get a discount (I run my own PC business).

I haven't been there for about 5 months. Did they move again, or you talking about their OTHER move a few years ago?

They moved? I thought they'd closed down.

So did I. My brother pointed the new shop out to me. Still has all the same Indonesian (or whatever) women working there. Less games, they dont take up almost the whole store this time.
