Basically, I've got a conference/holiday in Sydney and I'll be there from this Saturday night (29th Nov) till Friday evening Dec 5.
I am interested in meeting some ZGeeks. Activities that might be on the agenda include:
- Chasing women around Manly beach
- Computer-game related stuff (e.g. arcades, Grace Bros freebies)
- Exploring the city, hopefully unusual places
- Drinks (pref non-alcoholic) but meh
- Eating food
- General fun stuff
Who the hell am I? 25/m/melb student Melbourne ZGeek bureau honcho. I study drugs. Hobbies include Amiga computers stand-up comedy and chasing bikini. When Tintin travels to Sydney, he always stays at Sydney Uni. If you are too scared to meet me then please offer suggestions on activities worth doing. Reply here or pm me if u r interested.

I'm actually going to be in Melbourne from the 27th to the 30th of November, but I work right near Sydney Uni (10 mins walk away) so I'm free after business hours during the week :D

Well, I'm free this weekend (thank fuck), but I think I'll be too busy attempting to recouperate from the last 3 weeks. I'm having enough trouble moving right now as is, let alone thinking, staying awake and whatnot.
Basically, I'm too fucked to organise anything (for once). Someone else please do the honours.

Also, could someone plz explain the public transport ticketing system in Sydney? Talk about complicated! Can anyone recommend a ticket to get which gives me the best economy if I want to:
-- Use public transport for 7 days
-- Come in from the airport
-- Stay at Sydney Uni
-- Travel most days to Darling Harbour on the bus
-- Take the Manly ferry and Harbour ferries fairly often
-- Perhaps do occasional trips further out of town, e.g. northern beaches, Blue Mountains.
I have checked www.sydneytransport.net.au -- still too complicated.
Thanx dudes.

Get a red travelpass weekly. It's about 30 bucks and it's for train, bus and ferry.
Won't get you to the airport, you need a special ticket as it's a 3rd party carrier not STA.

This thread (http://forums.zgeek.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10724) contains the guide to Sydney's public transport system. I wrot it before the Global meet this year to help people with figuing out how to get where. Might be a good read for you. :D

Thanx spingo.
Well guys, my conference is finally over and Tintin is on the loose in Sydney. omg how much poon do you have in this city? More than I can shake my stick at, that's for sure. I'm leaving Friday night so it gives a limited time for painting the town red. My access to communications is limited (I'm in an internet cafe in Oxford St now), plz call my room (after midnight best time) on 9565 3379 if you are a Sydney ZGeek and are up for being a tourist/tourist guide in your own town. I really wanna catch up with teh imp but I didn't get myself organised with your contact deets.
I will try to call teh cassa as soon as I can. Hopefully I will be able to score a trip to the zhouse or maybe just a zgeek shirt. Livin' it up!
Back to the poon...
