this is mostly directed at spingo (but if you've used vbulletin before pipe up)

how flexible is vbulletin in terms of module manipulation.

is it possible to re-write the modules so that the mySQL database will talk to a MS SQL database?

is it forgiving with hacking modules in general...

Cut the crap please. Either reply with something useful or don't reply at all.

Well, vBulletin is not modular. Well, not in the sense that things like PHPNuke is.

In regards to "is it possible to re-write the modules so that the mySQL database will talk to a MS SQL database?", why would you want one db to directly talk to another? I'm very puzzled by that question.

BTW, for all who are curious, I'm now starting to develop the look and feel for the new site. All functions are complete :D

thanks mate...

we are looking at setting up some sort of replication between our
main backend database and the one that will be running the website. its just a matter of business logic and licensing.

hows your experience been with vBulletin in general?
