Does anybody else here get Herard Henderson's column in there local paper?

I had to write a letter to my paper after I finally got sick of the nit wit.

Am I the only one that is sick of Gerard Henderson's faith based column? I say faith based as a large amount of whaty he says is based on his faith toward current Howard government.

I'll provide just some examples this week in the Sunday Tasmanian (11/7). In an article against what Henderson percieves as Latham's anti-Americanism he states that labors most successful leaders were strong public backers of the Australian-American alliance. He uses Bob Hawke as an example. I don't disgree that he supported this alliaances but Bob Hawk has publicly stated his opposition to the war on Iraq and President George W. Bush's. And this was exactly what Henderson was criticising Latham of doing.

If Latham is anti-American due to his disagreement with George W. Bush, then does this not also mean Henderson also believes Hillary Clinton is anti-American as she has also been outspoken against Bush's policies?

And stating that Latham is anti-American because he is not also speaking out against Prime Minister Tony Blair doesn't hold water. It's clear to everyone that Bush is leading the Iraq was, and it should be him that is primary questioned on the issue. If we have a pro Liberal column taking up space in our news paper each week, without a pro labor column to create balance, at least make it accurate.
