Does anyone have an app that can crack through an MS Word password?

It is Word XP...

There are a few apps around that will brute force it, but you generally have to pay for them, or pay a company to do it for you (via email).

If its a short password, short being less than 5 characters, a free trial version of one of the progs you find on google should do it.

I get calls for this at work all the time and its a real pisser, especially considering that an MS Access cracker just pulls the admin pass straight out of the database.

You owe me BIG for this one .....

Take a look at this site : http://home.planet.nl/~brainwave01/home.htm

Its full of great warez, at good bandwidth and fantastic detailed desription of the files there before you download. Its still regularly updating and its my favorite site of the genre at the moment.

The program in particular you want is "ElcomSoft Advanced Office XP Password Recovery Professional 2.40"

The elcomsoft advanced office password breaker is ok if you want to unlock the document. No matter how long the password is, it will do it in the same amount of time. However you won't get the actual password, only an unlocked document. If you want to know what the password is, go for advanced word 2000 password breaker. takes longer but u get the passwrod
