Well, since the health ministry is controlled by the 'interim government', who are US puppets, and it states that the US wants the counting to stop, you can tell who is behind the move.

The reason they are doing this is because they are going to use israeli style tactics in areas of resistance. Seal off towns, blow shit up, demolish places where they get attacked from, etc.

I too was confused, as I read the title of this thread: "US orders suppression of civilian deaths" and then saw the post: "Iraq's Health Ministry has ordered a halt to a count of civilians killed during the war and told its statistics department not to release figures compiled so far".

It would be like if I started a thread called "Holden VX's fuel efficiency" and then went on to talk about the Ford Fairlane and the type of petrol that it uses.

Just because they wanted it to stop doesn't mean that they ordered it stopped. Maybe the Health Ministry said "Yeh, keep it hush hush, boys" and the US government said "Hey, thanks for doing that, we were just about to ask".

But that's not the problem. The problem is that you're mis-titling the thread and therefore not telling the truth about what's inside. ZOMG AMERIKKKAN!!!~
