Why in the hell can they go on their expensive business trips etc at our expense? Yet they cannot subsidise a vaccination for chicken pox?
At $60 a pop there aren't many families out there who can afford it.

considering they are business trips, they are not going to pay for themselves. The entire organisation is funded by tax dollars so the money has no where else to come from.
Doesn't your company pay for you to go somewhere and do work?

Chicken Pox is part of growing up. You wouldn't deny a child one of the pleasures of being a seven year old, would you?
If everything were left to vaccinations, we'd all be dead by now because our immune systems would suck.

Erm, isn't the entire point of vaccinations to strengthen your immune system against particular illnesses?

Last I checked vaccinations work by giving you a mild dose of the disease along with the suffiect antibodies to eliminate it so that you get infected and your body 'learns' how to defeat those virii...

Depends on the legitimacy, they usually claim ridiculous expenses & often they didn't really need to be there, they just write it off as a business trip when they're really just taking an expenses paid holiday.

Chicken Pox in children can kill. Chicken Pox in adults can kill. About the best time to get it is in your teens. It also can cause severe birth deformities in the first trimester of a pregnancy. So don't tell me it is a pleasure for a 7yr old to have it, even if it was just a sarcastic/trying to be funny comment.
Sorry, but when you have just spent a month with 4 kids all having it in varying stages of severity then it isn't that funny.:(
