Portable Linux (http://www.mandrakesoft.com/products/mandrakemove) from mandrake. Boot off a CD, and save to a USB key. Not too bad.
ya can DL the OS for free, or buy it with the USB key ring (128 and 256) Saves configurations, mail, pics, /etc. haha.
I gunna DL the free version and see if I can get other USB storage devices to be used; USB HDD, various media cards, zip.
anyway, Looks nice, I used Knoppix linux, pretty much another CD-OS but it cant be used on NTFS machines. MandrakeMove doesn't touch the HDD so it says, worth a shot:)

I can give you the .torrent file. looks like that's the only way to get it now. I had to do the .torrent way when 9.2 first came out.

DL'd it, burned it, and loaded it........... and I am fuggin pissed.
I got the one with USB-key support, thinking that I can do a little rewrites for saving to zip250, and It's pissing me off. Can't SU, and cant change settings. grrrrrrrrrrrr. I'm trying to change the configs to save to zip250 instead of USB key. (cause I don't want a USB key). Tired of creating a new user each time I boot it, and tired of re-configing the LAN......... fuck fuck fuck. rant.

Thought about it...... It's just one major pissoff sagit:
It's all mangled up in /. there's softlinks all over the place, and some circle round to the exact area. I think I might have got the Non USB one, that would be one of the reasons. But who knows, I might just buy the damn $60 OS with USB key and fuck with it on my own time:)
