[Canberra] Questacon

This was being tossed around on IRC a few weeks ago. Buffy had the idea that we go out to Questacon and look at cool science and museum stuff in February when it's cooled down and just before the start of uni for the year.

I was just at the Questacon last Friday, didn't spend much time there though. Am back in Brisbane now and will be spending my christmas eve and new years with an ex stripper my gf used to live with.

Have fun in Canberra... I'd be thinking August would be better so you might be able to go skiing as well?? September holidays perhaps. Alas that's so far away. Enough from me I can't be bothered typing relevant, coherent sentences as usual.

I love that museum. Went there mid year this year with my relatives from Spain. The free-fall exhibit is cool. So is the liquid nitrogen show. Plus I can buy fireworks in Fyshwick. w00t

Oh shit I don't think we meant the 8th of February did we? By some strange co-incidence I'll be in Sydney that day, but I don't know if I'll have the cash.

well Pirate and I will probably head down saturday to stay saturday night somewhere, if parliament isn't sitting around this time, we can get pretty much luxury accomodation for nix, as most hotels drop their rates significantly during non parliament time.
We're most likely going to meet pliskin there on sunday, so whatever day anyone wants to go is fine n dandy.
I will edit this when we figure out which hotel we're staying at, to let you all know.

If you're going to stay somewhere really nice, you can't go past the hyatt.. it's damn central too. The Waldorf appartments kick arse esp. for going out. Hotel Kurrajong is more 1950's style / semi resort...

or there's Formula 1 for $60 / night (sleeps 3!)

and I may have room for 1 or 2 depending on the weekend in question
