This time we're doing something a little different. We're NOT going south.

Date: Saturday 17th of January, 2004 AD.
Route:(A map will be uploaded later).
Meet 1, Rose Hill Maccas, 8-8:15am.
Meet 2, Mulgrave Maccas (just before Windsor on Windsor Rd), 9-9:30am.
Head up Putty Rd. Last premium fuel at Wilberforce.
Pull in at the half-way house for a stretch (100km).
Turn off to Broke. Pull over @ Broke for fuel (100km, 200 from starting point).
Lunch at Wollombi.
Continue heading down and return either via Wisemans Ferry or Mt White/Old Road.

I might be able to do the entire loop on a single tank, but I'm doing too many k's on my car at the moment as it is :(

Broke is pretty much the half-way point, so ~400 round trip.

Wilberforce is the last premium for, well, the entire trip pretty much. Broke is regular only. Stupid bikes only having big enough tanks to get me 250-300k's.

I drove up to the Hunter Valley via the Old Putty Road at Christmas and the road is in pretty bad shape for the last quarter, especially around the really twisty bit.

There is a temporary 40 zone through there. The ashphalt is lifting and the road is really going to pieces. There is bugger all grip and if you push it, you will send stones and tar flying, not to mention yourself.
