I :swear: hate Spam, it's the bane of my online existant, and I've got to say that most of the Spam filters I've tried are totally crap.

I tried Mailwasher (http://www.mailwasher.net/), and while it worked Ok, it was a hassle to run, check it was deleting/bouncing the right emails, delete/bounce the crap and then open outlook.
It wasn't terribly fast, and wasn't 100% effective. But it was satisfying to bounce all the Spam, not that it did anything.

I tried the built-in filter in outlook, and that sucked even more, it was about 50% effective, but atleast it was built into Outlook.

What I wanted was a real Bayesian anti-spam filter plug-in for Outlook. I looked a while ago and couldn't find one, but this time around I scored :)

SpamBayes (http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/index.html) is a Bayesian anti-spam filter plug-in for Outlook. I downloaded it and it works!!!!
I just trained it using a few Spams that I had, and my newest emails, it made a couple of mistakes early on, but now that it's trained better, it works really well.

Thanks for the info Panik, i've had two execs hit me up for something to combat spam today, however i was way to busy to tend to it today and they said it wasn't urgent, thanks for cutting the research down!

 Yay!, I helped :)

I've re-trained my filter, now that I have a small amount of spam, and I know that my inbox is free of canned ham-like produce.
So hopefully my results will be better from now on. It still seems to be doing a very good job though.

It looks like Spambayes also have a Bayesian filter that you can stick on a mail server, to scan everyone's email. But this won't be as effective.

Just think what would have happened to Spam if M$ had included a filter with Outlook a couple of years ago. It would have made the whole business unprofitable.
