Outlook Explorer 6 not saving settings

Outlook Express: Version 6

Hey guys,

In regards to a machine I look after, it's developed a really unusual problem.

For some reason, it's saved the wrong settings for the username and SMTP server name for two email accounts. You can change it every time you load it up, and it works. However, each time you quit Outlook Express and reload it, it reverts back to the old settings.

Any idea why?

Goto file, identity, manage identities and see whats in there.
Goto tools accounts and check how many mail accounts you have.

Try removing either and adding a new one,

Holy shit... that happened to me today when I was at the IT desk.

kept reverting back to the old settings.

I said fuck it and had the person delete the account and recreate it.

it stuck:)
