Sounds sensible to me.
The women I've met with a keen interest in computers and/or cars (especially when they're cute, but even if they look like the arse-end of a bulldog) have been fucking mental cases, and aren't worth the effort. Sure, they might be fun occasionally, but you have to put up with a shitload of crap.
Its nothing that can't be cured with a shitload of electro-shock therapy and a cat o' nine tails, but I can't afford the power bills, and my arm's sore from choosing to masturbate rather than risk catching whatever virulent mental disease they have.

My GF loves cars and has a nice one. But she is a negative computer knowledge zone. She miraculously deleted my ICQ last night while looking through my old messages.
Anyway back to my point. She suffered from a fair degree of Scathings afore mentioned mental issues. Fortunately after one year a lot of these issues have been dealt with/resolved. But it took a lot of time and effort (from both of us).

But not the whole 'checking up on you're ICQ conversations' issue, I guess. :(
That's a sackable offence, as far as I'm concerned, same goes for checking text messages. People don't need that kind of distrust in a relationship.
Last couple of people I've went out with, I've told them that to begin with, and also this:
I only have conversations, not arguments. If you ever try to argue with me about anything, instead of discussing it, I'm going to want out.
This has lead to a couple of pretty short relationships (if they didn't take one of the first things I said about us going out seriously then, well, what's the point?), but the current one seems to be going pretty well under that dictum...

rosamund: Not a bad way of establishing a relationship.
She wasn't checking up on me. She was looking at who I had on my contact list, just curious. I'm similar, I do a lot of things that can be taken the wrong way but are never intended that way. She used to be a bit distrustful (issues), but she got over that. Nowadays she just teases me about it.

inferiority complex (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=inferiority%20complex)
n.
A persistent sense of inadequacy or a tendency to self-diminishment, sometimes resulting in excessive aggressiveness through overcompensation.
Hmm, that term would cover quite a few of them. But, in their cases, its not a "sense" of inadequacy, its an admission of the facts, and the "first stage: denial. Second stage, violence" reaction to it.
