At the moment I'm running Mozilla Firebird as an interim, On Internet Explorer I can connect to the internet but after that it does nothing, it's only doing it on my Windows XP account, it's not doing it on any other user accounts, I reset all of IE's defaults but it still doesn't work on my account.

Any ideas people?

Look for a program called bhodemon. Kill all bho's other than the ones you want. One probably tried installing itself and fucked up killing IE.

Either that or re-install IE over the top of itself.

Did that too, didn't work, It reinstalled it on all XP user accounts, but my XP account remains the only one on which IE won't work.

I haven't downloaded anything in months but on the 20th it just stopped working properly.

A friend of mine had exactly the same problem, but luckily he got the techs at work to fix it. I wish I could tell you what they did.

Don't know if you have roaming profiles but you could try deleting that.

You could rebuild your profile.Just login w/ a different admin acoount and rename your profile. Then log back in as yourself and it will treat it like a NEW profile. All profile specific apps and config will be lost .Hope that helps.

it could also be a spyware browswer jack on that profile.
