I remember some time back that a fair few of you had streaming cams using the mms:// protocol

Can any one tell me the software you used for this, where to get, and can it handle more than one person viewing at a time.

I've just set up some wireless cameras around work in my server and communications rooms and the reciever sits on my desk. This works a treat but now I'm heading on holidays next week, I want to be able to vpn in and see whats happening.

Can any one help?

This was mainly a security measure. I've noticed a lot of software go missing when people asked for access to the server to load their 'updates'

Now I can watch them in real time instead of walking the 100 odd meters there and then again back 9 or so times a day.

The VPN we're now using here at work is part of the TPIPS network. Essentially a VPN without the internet bit. A produxt of telstras similar to the old Auspac network.

I dial a local number and have access to our entire network. Makes things a hell of a lot easier :) But unfortunately unless you have a lot of cash this isnt the way to go.

Our network with 6 branches and 27 remote users costs us around 90 grand a year to run.

Not sure what else I could do to help you man
