I am looking to buy a laptop so that I can actually get some work done sometimes (the total number of people employed here is greater than the number of pc's so we often run out). I need something that will run Office (at least 2000) and SPSS (ver 8 or higher), so I guess at least 600+mhz. Needs lots of RAM or the capacity to have lots of RAM shoved in it. Since it's for work I can write it off on tax as work-related expense, but I would still prefer not too horribly expensive as return time is about 8 months away.
