virus? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

NOT EVEN A WEEK back online, and iv got a virus. this is hardly worth the new amount of anime and porn iv downloaded.

three times, in the last three days.. my computer has reset suddenly.. when it reboots it tells me "windows has recovered from a critical error" or some shit like that.

i always have the most update version of AVG.. and all the stupid windows xp patch.. and zone alarm.. and now iv got a fucking virus ? just what is the point of having any of this software? =( =(

when i scan my computer.. they all say my computer is fine..

what can i doooooooo... i dont wanna format my c:.. its cramed so full of anime theres no way i can back it all up without going out and buying a new hd

maybe your windows has a problem or your hardware is bad. It seems that you are taking the correct steps in assuring that you don't get virus'.
If it's neither of those and you are sure, then you should stop going to really dodgy porn sites and clicking YES on that box that says "Do you want to accept all cookies form BigboobbonanzA!"

Right-click 'My Computer', Properties, Advanced, Startup & Recovery and uncheck the automatic restart option.

Next time it crashes you will get a blue screen of death rather than a reboot, then you can tell us what the BSOD says and we'll go from there.

Install a firewall.

You can also have a look in your SYSTEM event log (right click my computer -> MANAGE, find it in the MMC).

You should see STOP errors saying the computer rebooted from a bugcheck / rays from the moon.

Stuff the result into the MS knowledge base and roll your dice.
