Just wondering how hard it is to open up a Toshiba Satellite 1730 laptop and replace/repair the fan. Any tips for young players on this?
I'm reasonably technically savvy, but I haven't mucked around inside a laptop before and don't want to be left with an expensive paperweight.....especially when it belongs to my better half!

One of my colleges works on laptop-repairs. He says:
- Download the assembly manual for that model of laptop.
- arrange the components in a long-line. so the first thing you take out will be the last thing you put back.
...do that and you should have no problem at all.

Your work colleague wouldn't happen to know where I could download this from? A copy of the service manual would help me no end!
