Ok, dude... slow down a lil.

What OS are you running? How do you know it's a trojan? What's the name of the file that you think is infected?

The more info you provide initially, the easier it is for us to help you.

boot into safe mode and navitage to the trojan and delete it. And then go to ur internet options and click> advanced>reset to defaults

If its a trojan i hight doubt there is a removal tool but there will definatly be removal instructions if u search for its name. O yer disable system restore if ur using ME or XP

Bloody hell.

Full details please.

AVG Resident Shield says what? What is the name of the virus? Have you done a search for that name on the main AV sites?

If AVG program calls 'virus' and a scan shows up nothing, peerhaps the virus is already quarantined by your AV program? Have you had any strange system behaviour?

Dunno about your AV, but Nortons has an exclusions tab for manual scan options. Make sure that the system volume files are not being excluded.

You got a firewall installed? Zonealarm etc? Stop it from connecting when you're on the net. Try one of the free online virus scanners.

Boot in safe mode (hit f8 normally) when you boot. Run a scan then, or is there an option in AVG to scan at boot?
