check out this picture of my brood.
A nice candid moment during a fine day out

However, a chance picture has been ruined by a complete stranger wandering into the frame ! :swear:

So I gave it to my brother to see what he could do. He is fully into multimedia presentations, imaging, rendering and the ilk. Its his skill.
After only a couple of hours he came back with this:

What an effort !
I am IMPRESSED, so I thought I would like to share it with you all.

Notice how the people are removed, the vegetation is replaced, the steel replaced, the shadow removed, and so on !! wow

Comments anyone ?
P.S if you REALLY want to better this effort (some ppl are challenged) post a request in this thread and I'll see what I can do to send the original 1 meg file.

It's a pretty damned good job, but I'm in the middle of the first two options. I work in an ad agency, I see this kind of thing done all the time so I'm pretty used to it. There's no way in hell I'd be able to do something even remotely close though, my skills are weak.

That is certainly a super effort. However, my concerns are as follows:

The first photo, with the stranger in the background, is what was really going on at this moment. For you to have those strangers removed, is like going back in your diary and crossing out feelings or opinions you no longer have.

While the second photo might be more aesthetically pleasing to you, it is a moment that never truly occured and you are therefore living a lie!

Then again, I'm just being a wanker. Ignore me.

I think that is fucking awesome. On a pure skills basis I don't think I've seen better.

i totally understand having the guy right behind them taken out, coz if you dont know that sperm doesnt know him, then its easy to assum he does, but the elow at the side? *shrugs*

the only thing id say about it is that its mildly fuzzy where the elbow was, & that the rusty suport thingy for the rail is wonky where its been replaced, toehr than that very impressed.

I would have just done the simple thing... going back in time and killing the fucker's grandfather.

Problem solved.

It's damn good but easy to spot little faults.

Your kids look like clones BTW

only easy to spot some faults when you know whats been changed.....

yeah, its been said my kids looks like clones; not so much of each other, but more of me !

Check the picture below out. The one on the left is me aged 3yo, the one way to tell the difference is I've got brown eyes !

The edited picture is brighter than the original and the spot next to the tree where the blue bag and guy with orange pants were is a bit blurry. But I must say that is a picture well edited. http://forums.zgeek.com/images/icons/icon462.gif

Great job. I can notice a bit of a "predator" effect, but that's only because I can compare it to the original.

Not trying to be a dickhead (ie no disrespect to the subject matter....nice looking kids 'n missus you have there), but I don't think the photo is that great anyway. I wouldn't have bothered spending time and effort 'chopping it.

but the question is, was the man really there? Were your wife and kids really there? Are we real? What is reality? etc etc
