Has anyone had hands on experience with the Level One (http://www.level1.com/) brand of network gear?
Saw them advertised in APC magazine recently and liked the look of their combo switch/wireless/router/ADSL/print server thingies. Feature list and build quality seems OK, so I'm considering one as an alternative to the usual Linksys/Netgear/D-Link stuff.
Any useful input appreciated, including recommendations for other gear (which you have actually used) that might fit the bill.
Basically I am looking for the following:-
Essential:
802.11g wireless (with external antenna connector)
4 port switch
NAT router
ADSL modem
Highly desirable:
USB print server
Serial port for dial-up fall back
SPI
VPN
Perhaps I should also add:-
Critical:
Reliable!
This is just for home use on my little 3 PC / 2 printer network, but I do like to tinker thus the request for a few extra features for me to play with.
