Who is your favorite troll, in that it's a forum poster that gets you off your indifferent arses and posting/interacting in threads.

Personally, I like the change these guys provide (including nodbugger!), and I hope they dont ever go away, and I am disappointed that some people try to discourage them.

Nodbugger - Idiot who atleast keeps to his beliefs, never chopping and changing to accommodate for others. For this I commend him. He presents 'some' good arguments but generally he comes off as an American patsy pig dog. :D

I can't stand Nodbugger. He makes Americans look bad and lose some of their creditbility on ZGeek. Whenever I even show alittle bt of patriotism towards America, I usually get people saying I am "pulling a Nodbugger" or something of a sort. He makes some discussions pointless after a few of his posts and it gets tiring to see argument after argument with just him and 10 other people.

Asskickergod is funny. The trephination website is how I became so fortunate to find ZGeek. Zgeek is the only thing that keeps me entertained at my shit job.

I still think highly of the other Americans on this site. I take nodbuggers views to be purely his own. Although I say stuff like "typical American" it does not mean I hate or even dislike other Americans.

Nodbugger is an idiot, plain and simple. It is his curse and his downfall.

Sun0l gets my vote... anyone who can type so angrily wins in my book. Utop is a purpose-built troll who could do with less trolling. He does have some funny things to say at times. Nodbugger just has a fundamental inability to logically argue what should be fairly straightforward cases.

Trying to describe Nodbugger reminds me of this statement from the fugly.com trailerpark wars:
It's hard to imagine that there are people like this out there. We think that people in trailerparks, for the most part, are perfectly harmless. People like Leo, on the other hand, are the ones that you have to watch out for. He's the kind of guy that will never stop lying until he's caught red-handed. Even then, it's doubtful that he would ever admit he is wrong.

Sub in "so firmly set in his beliefs" for the bits about Leo "never stop lying" and you have Nodbugger. That last sentence is especially true.

A lot of times I have typed out a nice response to some idiotic thing that Nodbugger has posted, but then think "Why bother?" and hit the back button. It's irritating reading the shite he spews out but I'm hesitant to use the ignore feature.

I didn't visit the Sun0l forum so I cant compare the two.

In terms of the troll that I liked reading the most, probably Utop/AKG.

I think patriotism has its place, too. I disagree with the given definition of "troll". My understanding is that a troll is someone who deliberately posts to provoke others with the intention of wasting their time and energy. They don't post because they believe what they're saying, but to get a reaction. That being said, "troll" is a negative term, not a positive one. To call someone a troll simply because their posts have the effect of raising participation levels is overly simplistic and inaccurate.

Oh, and what's with including people who don't even post here anymore? E.g. Agonia, with an average of approx. 6 posts per year for the last three years, could hardly be called a troll. I also read Necron's post and it is good to know that with me being American, there is not to many biases getting involved. I try to read Nod's posts and I just sit and shake my head and roll my eyes. But opinions are exactly what they are and you can't always change them.
