I resently re-installed windows (was trying to repair but it wouldn't accept my key which is legal btw) so I installed Windows over the previous folder.
All went well, got all my service packs and drivers but now realised some used memory is accessable:
16.2Gb on Parition
Total of 5.66 GB being used by Windows and Prog Files when I selecect everything in the drive; but the drive properties show 11.8Gb being used?
I could format and reinstall but are there any other options?
Cheers...again

I tried and there was only one empty hidden folder called "My Downloads"
Also defragged, disk cleaned-up-ed and recyle bin is empty, haven't used check disk but that killed windows last time.

System Restore is probably tying up a heap of space. Happens all the time.
Control Panel -> System -> System Restore

Use Belarc Advisor (free from http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html ). Incredibly useful, gives detailed specs of your computer, what is loaded and, well, everything really
