Hi guys, what do people think is the best p2p out there. What I want to do is download a whole lotta current songs. Unfortunately, when I use Kazaa Lite, it fucks the songs up and about a minute into the song, it goes all fuzzy and you can't listen to the rest of it. What do people use to get individual songs apart from buying them?

Cheers

soulseek.

the majority of audiogalaxy users migrated to soulseek when it went down. Just be careful: there is a spyware dummy website that claims to have soul seek. The real one can be found here: http://www.slsknet.org/download.html

Another vote for soulseek.

I forgot the proper URL once and typed in the wrong one and thought it strange the logo had turned into an owl

I use mostly DC++ but now soulseek to replace kazaa lite for random songs but doesn't seem very good unless i'm not using it properly or something....

DC++ (direct connect plus plus) and BT++(bit torrent plus plus)

Once you download Bittorrent go to www.suprNova.org and download entire albums already preset and ussually have proper ID3 tags and everything. DC is good for what you cant find on BT

Another vote for Soulseek for music. If you're getting those fucked up songs use Peer-Guardian to block the ip's doing it.

yeah.... use peer guardian with everything.
need to stay a little invisible now.... especially with some new guys out doing witch hunts. These guys piss me off (http://www.baytsp.com/)

anyway. PeerGuardian should help ya lots with the fuzz. I use it with kaz. and it's fine:)

Bearshare works for me with popular songs, but anything obscure and soulseek is the way to go. For albums I use bittorrent resources, like suprnova (mentioned above).

bittorrent..

selection isn't always as good, but the quality seems to be infinitely higher. downloads sooner usually. so far, i haven't had to wait a month for herbie hambone in outer buttfuck timbucktu with his 300 baud modem to log on so i can spend a game of fag tag trying to get teh file downloaded from him since hes teh only one with it.

i'm using BearShare (http://www.bearshare.com). it's just like using imesh. which i used to give a hell of a flogging (before i had loads of problems with it).

it's been a whilesince i've used imesh, and kazaa sucked the big one, but today i found out about and installed BearShare and the wife has gone nuts on it. downloaded a dozen songs by one of her favourite bands.

damn easy to use. plenty of search results.

if you used imesh you'll feel right at home with BearShare.
