I finally decided to upload my website the other day, and I'm fairly pleased with it:
http://karl.sniperhq.net/

The comments are a bit breakable, and it's probably vulnerable to sql-injection and the like. It also won't validate on the w3c validator, but I'll hopefully fix that... I'm sure the CSS would validate... and the basic layout before I plugged in the backend stuff... at least I'm not paying for empty webspace now hehe.

Anyway, comments/criticism is very welcome... (but be gentle, cos any guy who puts a butterfly on his website probably cries easy :P)

...and to preempt a possible follow-up question to that remark: 'No, I'm not gay... I frequent the Zgeek pr0n forum' (a gay friend of mine even asked me if I was so... hmm... it probably projects the wrong message... damn...)

You've put a lot of effort into it, and it really shows. Great work. The colour scheme is different, but works very well, with an obvious warm feel to it. You've even got a link to ZGeek in the links section, so bonus points there. :)

I don't like to give feedback without adding some constructive criticism so I will say that it's a shame you went to all the work of creating your own website without having an "About" section to tell everyone a bit more about yourself! Oh, and I'd throw in a bit more info on how you actually created the site. What software you used, etc. Readers may find it useful.

All in all, a very good site. All it needs is some more content and that will no doubt happen with time. I'm actually inspired to get back to work on my own site. :D Keep up the good work. :)

Ditto what tikdoph said. It's a good looking site.

Most people know I'm a standards freak, so 5 points for saying that you'll work to that. :)

Also a colophon section would be cool.

Thanks for the feedback guys :D

I did actually have an 'about' page made up, but I turned it off because I thought it was self-indulgent enough just having the site without assuming people would want to know more hehe...

I have to agree with them all, it is a great looking site, the only thing i dont really like is when i scrolled over the buttons along the top the changed to have the right side straight, which i cant say i liked very much.

besides that you get a 5 star rating from me :)
