i've just heard on TV that jaguar are to pull out of the F1 scene at the end of the year, ive spent a bit of time looking to see if this is true but can not find anything, nothing on jaguar-racing.com or itv-f1.com, and nothing from the beeb.

is this just hear say or is there any truth in this?

I cant believe that someone is pulling out! Most manufacturers would kill to have their foot in the door!!!

crap,i just started a thread on this in the automotive section!! Like is said there, F1 needs to get its head out of its arse otherwise there'll be other teams following in the next couple of years. A chamionship invloving Ferrari, McLaren, Williams only does not make for good racing, even if Bernie Ecclestone couldn't give a shit about the other teams

jaguar are having problems though not just in F1 they are having to cut jobs in the UK factories etc http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3664850.stm

they need to save money and i think F1 is just too damned expensive.

they are asking for voluntary redundancies - like yeah who is gonna do that?

People who've worked there for a long time and stand to get a big-ass severance cheque.

There was a girl at my last place who had about 20 years service and got not far off £30,000, thats plenty enough to look after yourself until you find a new job.
