Multiplayer Games [Archive]

I have just installed my ADSL modem and Im looking for some good mulitplayer games to play. I have freelancer, but that gets boring real quickly.
I have tried to get BREED to work, but I get too many hassles from GameSPY. I fucking hate gamespy!
Anyone got any good online games to play?

My system specs are:
AMD thunderbird 1.3 gighrz
Nvidia geforce 4
256 MB ram

I just want to play something fun like BREED, but without all the gamespy hassles.

You could try..
Counterstrike Condition Zero
Medal of Honour
Battlefeild 1942.......this give you options for many many mods eg> Desert Combat and Galactic Conquest

Others that may work but could struggle would be
Battlefeild Vietnam
Joint operations

This is without knowing what type of Geforce 4 you have and you may wanna consider upgrading to at least 512Mb ram.
Personally, I'd follow the BF1942 route.

Why not just get a copy (Pirated or not) of Galactic Battlegrounds if you play Galactic conquest. It looks cool for and it's Star-Wars. Whats not to like!!!!

Hmm, not sure, I dont like mods cause they can take too long to download.
Im still thinking like a 56k'er!!
What about games other games, like RTS's, any good ones out?

PS: anyone use gamespy here?

RTS..get Dawn of War
This will be the RTS to have for a long time to come.

RPG without fees...my house mate plays Mu, looks ok. Ragnarok I tried for a while..that was fun.
