OK, so it isn't Need For Speed: Underground. But it's a driving game, it's more fun than it looks, and the modding of cars is done better here than NFSU.

Is anybody else actually playing this thing, or am I alone with it?

I have to say, I hated this game when I first got it. The first hour or two were so frustrating. Then I figured out which cars were half decent. Suddenly it became fun. Now I can't stop playing it.

All I need now is a strategy guide, something that will give me some clue how to approach the challenges, which cars to buy for which category so I can stop with this stupid trial and error thing.

BTW, it includes Aussie cars. I have only seen the XR8 so far, but I keep seeing forum threads about it having a Monaro too. Actually, the range of cars on it is very impressive. Everything from modern day rice-boy vehicles (Focus, Integra, etc) to classic cars from the 70's.

I've played the demo. Love the attention to detail. Unfortunately it's more of a sim game (a la TOCA) so until i get a steering wheel I don't think i'll bother getting it.

Now THAT was a cool game. But easy. Too easy most of the time - I only had to try twice on a few of the races so it got boring after a while. I will definitely return to it after Juiced.

i've got the super grand prix left and i guess a few 'special' races after that

don't know if i can really be fucked getting all the signature takedowns and the trophys though, dya know if they are worth it?

I very much doubt it. I got through about half the takedowns and trophies, but couldn't see the point. If you can't race the special cars whenever you want (a bit like Gran Turismo) then they're not much use to me.

Personally though I never finish a game for the sake of finishing it if the exercise requires more than a weekend to complete.

Rest assure all you Aussie hanging out for juiced. Even though Acclaim is no more, Juiced will be out in October.

Burnout 3 is the game to play until then =)
