setting up eggdrop

Ok I tried installing eggdrop on slackware 7.1
it told me I needed tcl so I downloaded 8.4.7 and installed that
eggdrop then told me that I had an old version installed and to install 8.4.6
I downloaded and installed tcl 8.4.6
eggdrop installed but when it came to running it says:
./eggdrop: error in loading shared libraries: libtcl8.4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

ActiveTcl directory is in PATH
tried copying libtcl8.4.so to the eggdrop directory
currently its located in:
/usr/local/lib/libtcl8.4.so
/usr/local/ActiveTcl/lib/libtcl8.4.so

anyone got any ideas how I could fix this or know of another way I can install an irc chanserv so I can have similar to X on undernet on undernet in my channel? (not got enough users to get X :()

eggdrops and win drops r messy, u should be able to download one with a .conf like allready set up and all u gotta do is change the minimal amount of options.

thing is is that for eggdrop to work it needs tcl which doesnt seem to work :/
need another sort of eggdrop alternative :/

chanserv tcls r pretty iffy

try goto like efnet or something and join a #tcl channel or #eggdrops or something

check the .conf files. make sure all is related in there. all I could say for now.

will look and see what I can later.

got a /usr/lib/ dir? pop in there?
