You'd bloody well hope it got a 96% after all the delays and hype. All the same 1st person shooters don't thrill me enough at the moment for me to go out and get a new graphics card so I can play them.

I see they're still using druid's face.
The review is very promising and there seems to be old elements from Half-Life but I don't like what the writer said in the second last page of the review: "The gravity gun isn't just another a weapon, it's the soul of Half-Life 2." The "gun" being the soul of the whole game worries me.

lol. seems fine on my 21" monitor @ 1920 * 1440.

might download it again and play it at 320*240 on this monitor, then sit at the other end of the room.

i think this will be the fps worth waiting for. you fags plaing warcraft and living the glory days of bauldurs gate cos your drug habit wont allow you a new pc can fuck off, everyone knows fps is on the cutting edge, hell nivdia and ati woudnt even be in business if it wasnt for the fps

Cutting edge games aren't automatically the best games, it's the content what makes a good game, not the graphics. Star Control 2 is still a lot better than most of the new FPS games. Not that I'm saying Half-Life 2 will be shit, I'm expecting it to be great.

i agree gameplay is the most important, but add the eyecandy and you have a hell of a game. i cant say that star control 2 really grabs me, but sure a lot of people like it. half life 1 took the fps to a new level adding problem solving and adventuring while still being able to blow away aliens, so im hoping hl2 does the same.

i still have baulders gate on one of my machines, just in case.

My hardware aint bad, not bleeding edge but a 9800 Pro should do me until easter which is when I traditionally upgrade. I just find FPS games a bit 'old'.
